This summer there are some experiences you’ll only find at Taronga Zoo Sydney. From Asian Elephant mud baths to baby booms and first birthdays, there are over 4000 animals and more keeper talks and shows than ever before.
Taronga says thanks
Following the recent catastrophic bushfires across NSW, Taronga wants to say thank you to the hard working and dedicated emergency services personnel and volunteer wildlife carers.
Throughout December 2019, Taronga will welcome eligible emergency responders and wildlife carers though its gates free of charge at each of its two Zoos – Taronga Zoo Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.

The Capybaras have arrived!
Meet Taronga's newest residents, the Capybaras!
Native to South America, Capybaras have webbed feet, can dive and stay underwater for up to five minutes, and reach speeds of up to 35km/hr on land. Make sure you stop by to visit these curious creatures.
New Year's Eve
Taronga Zoo Sydney hosts a number of major events each year, including a range of New Year's Eve events and packages which let you take advantage of the spectacular views, whilst enjoying a night filled with fun and live entertainment!
